Escrow Program

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I have poor credit and no one will make me a loan to buy a new home.

A. There is no credit check necessary for the Escrow Program.

Q. What happens if I miss a monthly deposit?

A. Basically Nothing - It may delay the start of construction of your new home because you do not have all of your funds assembled.

Q. I want to be sure that my children have homes of their own - can I open an account for them?

A. Yes. It seems to us that this is the ideal way to assure your children of having a home of their own. Their grandparents, aunts, uncles, or family friends can make deposits into the account on their behalf. Opening an Escrow Account for a mnor child essentially provides a home no matter what the interest rate or economic condition happens to be. Should there be an excess of cash over what is needed to build the home the excess cash will be returned in a lump sum at the time of closing.

Q. What happens if my child happens to marry someone who also has an Escrow Account?

A. The two accounts will be combined. Should there be an excess of cash over what is needed to build the home the excess cash will be returned in a lump sum at the time of closing.

Q. What happens if New Century Homes goes out of business?

A. At the present time New Century Homes has no debt and, other than what may be borrowed on individual real estate development projects, we intend to stay out of debt. Should it happen that New Century does go out of business then the money in the escrow account will be handled as set forth in the Escrow Agreement.

Q. How do I sign up?

A. Contact New Century by e-mail through this Web Site and a company representative will contact you. Be sure to include your home address and phone number when you respond.

Q. I know that New Century will take and use 20% of the money I put in my escrow account. I understand that this money is for escrow fees and operating costs necessary to keep the Escrow Program operating. Is there any way that I could get this money back if I decide to leave the program?

A. No. The money is not refundable.
